Abstract

Khulafa-Rashedeen means the four Caliphs of the last Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The first of them is Abubakr (RA), the second is Umar bin Khattab (RA), the third is Usman bin Affan (RA) and the fourth is Ali bin Abi Talib (RA). According to the doctrine of Ahl e Sunnah, these Caliphs are better than the entire ummah and the order of preference among them is the same as the order of califate in them. Imam Rabbani Shaikh Ahmad Farooqi has described their virtues according to Ahl e Sunnah in his famous book Maktoobat Imam Rabbani. He has described the spiritual position and status of the Caliphs collectively and separately, but in this article only their collective status will be described according to the Maktoobat- e- Imam Rabbani.
